Standing Strong Men’s Gathering

Western culture despises authority more and more each day, especially God’s authority. Thus, it shouldn’t surprise us then that Western culture hates the God ordained order of the home as well. In fact, many of the social movements we see are a direct assault on God’s design.
Whether it’s the American Psychological Association’s attack on men, decrying historical masculinity as “toxic masculinity,” or the presumption of guilt regardless of the truth among the supposed leaders of the #MeToo movement. There’s no doubt sin has corrupted what God intended men to be strong, compassionate, loyal, gracious, and selfless. All the things the Lord Jesus Christ embodies for all time and eternity.
Soldier’s for Faith Ministries’ 5th Annual Standing Strong Men’s Gathering is a great place to come alongside other men determined to stand for truth and God’s design for leading in our homes and communities. Our speakers this year are men and leaders who’ve spent decades fighting this battle for the hearts and souls of men in their communities.
Pastor, author, and speaker, Dr. Tony Evans, is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, a position he’s served in for more than forty years. During his forty plus years of ministry, Dr. Evans has humbly served the Lord as an example to young men, husbands, and fathers through the various ministries of Oak Cliff Bible Church, his more than 100 books and pamphlets he’s published, and through the Urban Alternative where for thirty years, Dr. Evans has brought hope and restoration to broken lives through the teaching and application of God’s Word.
Lieutenant General (LTG, retired) William “Jerry” Boykin currently serves as Family Research Council’s Executive Vice President. One of the original members of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force, LTG Boykin was privileged to ultimately command these elite warriors in combat operations around the world in places like Panama, Iraq, and Somalia. LTG Boykin spent 36 years in the U.S. Army, serving his last four years as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. A fierce warrior and combat leader, he has a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christians to become warriors in God’s Kingdom.
We could not be more excited to have these tremendous examples of God’s grace in the heart and life of His servants. Please join us on Saturday July 20, 2019, at the Ocean City Tabernacle in Ocean City, NJ, for the 2019 Standing Strong Men’s Gathering–“As for Me and My House.”

Dennis Call joined the Army as an infantry officer shortly after the 9/11 attacks on our country, serving fourteen years on active duty. During his Army service, Dennis deployed for thirty-three months to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terror. Prior to joining the Army Dennis served as the Director of College Ministries at First Baptist Church in Texico, N.M. where he mentored students at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, N.M. Dennis and his amazing wife Katie live in Colorado Springs, CO with their five children (four boys and one super sweet daughter).
