Strong in the Lord

Have you ever conducted a Google, Yahoo, or Bing search of the “armor of God?” If you did, the number of results to sift through would probably take the better part of the remainder of your life to complete. In fact, there were more than 83 million hits recorded in the search I did just recently. There are countless videos, memes, motivational speeches, articles, and inspirational art all meant to encourage and equip Christians to face their situation with confidence and strength.
What’s most interesting about these results is very few, practically none addressed the immediate context contained in the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. In the verses that precede the Apostle’s teaching on spiritual warfare, he gives the Church at Ephesus instruction on relationships between a husband and wife, parents and children, and masters and servants. While Christians engage the Devil in various circumstances, Paul addresses the most important battlefield on which any Christian fights, everyday domestic life.
Soldier’s for Faith Ministries’ Faithful and Fearless Women’s Gathering is the perfect place for women to come together to be strengthened in God’s truth for the important battled of leading in their homes and communities. Our speakers this year are women and leaders who’ve spent years, encouraging and equipping women to stand “Strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Author, speaker, and international human rights attorney Virginia Prodan has witnessed the power of God to strengthen her when she needed it most like few others. Targeted by the communist regime of Nicolae Ceausescu, Virginia was kidnapped, beaten, tortured, confined under house arrest, and nearly executed for standing up to tyranny. When staring into her assassin’s gun, she calmly and lovingly shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with her would be killer who turned and walked away leaving Virginia unharmed. Miraculously delivered from her tormenters, Virginia has spent the last three decades sharing her story of God’s strength and deliverance in her life with audiences around the world.
